Organization & Management

The Red Barn Youth Center Board consists of a diverse group of individuals consisting of business owners, business professionals, managers, and community volunteers.  The board continues to meet on a regular basis and is seeking new members.  The board has attended a strategic planning session and will be completing an ongoing process to develop and maintain fiduciary and governance best practices.

Key operational volunteers include community leaders with extensive experience in youth serving organizations.  Staff will be hired in preparation of the opening to ensure high level programs which provide for outcome based evaluation.  Examples of outcomes will include number of students reached, number of days each student attends the Red Barn, number of students mentored/tutored and number of students with increased GPA.   Programs will include opportunities for leadership development, homework assistance, social gatherings, sports and leisure activities, and other activities as deemed important by the youth in attendance.

A diversified fund development plan will be designed to assure the Red Barn is fully funded for many years to come.  This will include grants and foundations, individual giving, donations from area churches and businesses, and special events.

Partnerships are vital to any nonprofit organization and will enhance the Red Barn’s mission to be a place for teens to connect.
